Important Dates
- Opening of registration: Monday, December 17, 2018
- Closing of registration: Monday, April 15, 2019
- Announcement of selected participants (first round): May 10, 2019
- Announcement of selected participants (second round): May 24, 2019
- Organization of air travel and accommodations: May – July, 2019
- Arrival at the hotel: Sunday, July 28, 2019
- First Light school: Monday, July 29 – Wednesday, August 7, 2019
The school will fully fund the flights and accommodation of all participants through a generous grant from FAPESP (this does not apply to students in Brazil currently receiving a FAPESP scholarship or that live in the Greater São Paulo metropolitan area). However, in order to cover the coffee-breaks and school dinner we will ask for a small registration fee. The fees are:
- 50 USD – undergraduate/MSc/PhD students
- 100 USD – other participants
and should be paid in cash in USD or BRL on the first day of the School.
